Fire Suppression

The City’s Fire Suppression program provides superior fire and life safety services to all individuals and businesses in Trotwood. The Fire Suppression unit responds to all natural and man-made emergencies by operating from all 3 stations with full and part time personnel.

In order to handle any fire emergency that arises, this program provides:
• 1 engine company with 4 Firefighters
• 1 ladder company with 4 Firefighters
• Fire/EMS Chief
• 3 Battalion Chiefs, 6 Lieutenants
• 12 full time Firefighters, nearly 60 part time Firefighters
• basic hazardous materials intervention
• technical rescue expertise
• aggressive training programs
• AMAR agreements with Clayton, Dayton, Englewood and Harrison Township
