08.30.11- Trotwood On msn.com Real Estate List

Today Trotwood was included in msn.com’s list of the nation’s 10 cheapest housing markets, coming in at #9 and featuring a photo from the Moss Creek Golf Course Community. The list was based on Coldwell Banker's latest ‘Home Listing Report’.

The list, entitled America, the affordable, reads “Affordable housing is a double-edged sword. On one hand, it makes homeownership more accessible and could help the country burn through overloaded inventories. But low real-estate values can also indicate a weak and stagnating local economy, a malady that slumping home prices exacerbate.”

While this can judged as a negative story, it also puts the Trotwood name in front of msn.com’s millions of viewers. During this national recession most housing markets nationwide are suffering, so Trotwood is certainly not alone.

And lots of families and companies are casting a much wider net in their search for great deals on both residential and commercial real estate. That’s why this list may actually prove beneficial to Trotwood, particularly in terms of the current business prospects looking to locate here. Because business owners in particular are always trying to find upscale housing in the very communities where they find affordable land to build on.
