Human resources is responsible for ensuring the health, safety, welfare, professional development and professional conduct of all City employees. Among its duties covering all salaried, hourly and contracted City employees, the Human Resources Office manages:
• Compensation/benefits administration
• Employee development and relations
• Personnel policy/procedures
• Recruitment
• Risk management
• Union contract management and negotiations
• Insurance administration
