 Fire/EMS Overview
The City’s Fire/EMS Department provides the community the highest quality professional fire protection and emergency medical services available anywhere. All three of its strategically located fire stations provide full paramedic services, which reduces advanced life support (ALS) response time and results in better patient care. Its highly trained Firefighter/Paramedics are equipped with the very best apparatus and equipment and directly responsible for:
• fire suppression
• emergency medial services
• hazardous materials response
• prevention
• public education
• training
• urban search and rescue
“Above all else we truly value our citizens, as well as the internal, external and business customers we serve,” says Assistant Chief Eugene C Lutz, Jr. “We welcome the opportunity to build additional partnerships for mutual benefit. Sharing among them a wealth of history and tradition, our staff is fully dedicated to providing a wide range of professional services.”
Lutz continues, “We encourage every Trotwood citizen to visit their local fire station, discover how we operate and meet their very own Firefighter/Paramedics. We firmly believe it comes down to ‘people helping people’, and love meeting the very people we are sworn to keep safe during an emergency.”
