DRUG/DUI ENFORCEMENT

Trotwood’s DUI Enforcement program enforces state and local ‘driving under the influence’ alcohol laws. Its job is to educate the public to reduce occurrences of DUI. Particular emphasis is given to teaching youth about the dangers of alcohol abuse through such methods as anti-drunk driving courses. The City’s Drug Enforcement program is dedicated to increasing drug abuse arrests in the community. Its primary task revolves around sending a clear message about how seriously it takes the war on drugs.

Drug Enforcement officers’ responsibilities include:
• taking big-time and small-time dealers off the street
• investigating any pertinent information on potential drug dealers
• conducting undercover operations, including purchasing narcotics prior to apprehension
