Clerk of council



As the City’s Clerk of Council, Lois Singleton serves as Chief Administrator for the Trotwood City Council. The Clerk of Council is a member of the City’s management team, responsible for maintaining all of the City’s official records and managing Council’s budget.

The Clerk provides public records upon request in compliance with Ohio Public Records Laws, and prepares all requests to the Mayor and City Council regarding Proclamations, Certificates, Oaths of Office, Awards, Recognitions and Special Citizen Days. The Clerk of Council also:
• provides all Public Meeting Notices, including City Council’s regular, emergency and special meetings and workshops, Town Hall meetings, Public Hearings and other notices
• prepares City Council packets and meeting minutes
• updates Municipal Code of Ordinances, Council Rules and Code of Ethics
