Water System
The Public Works Department’s utility crew maintains approximately 37.5 miles of water mains that serve approximately 2,800 customers. Staff includes a Maintenance Supervisor, a Maintenance Leader and 3 Maintenance Technicians, as well as 2 Mechanics from the Fleet Maintenance Unit. Services provided include:
• routine system checks
• service shut-off and turn-on
• water sampling for bacteria, lead and copper
• new construction water lines and water taps locating
