Law Director
The City’s Law Director Serves as legal counsel on all the City’s legal matters and advises the Council, Manager, Departments, Boards and Commissions. By City Charter, Council appoints a law firm to staff the Law Director position, currently filled by Altick and Corwin, LPA. Per the Council and Manager’s direction, the Law Director:
• represents the City in all civil court proceedings and administrative actions
• directs prosecution of municipal ordinance and State misdemeanor violations
• represents the City in real estate matters including acquisition, disposition, trades
• prepares and reviews contracts, resolutions and ordinances presented to Council
