04.06.10- City Holds Neighborhood 'Walk and Talk' on April 24th

On Saturday, April 24th, the City will hold its first ‘Neighborhood Walk and Talk’ from 9:00 a.m.-Noon in the Oakview Estates neighborhood. Mayor Joyce Cameron, the City Council, City Manager and staff will be there to give those residents an opportunity to voice their concerns directly to their City leaders.

The ‘Neighborhood Walk and Talk’ program will run for six months, with City leaders appearing in a different Trotwood neighborhood each month to concentrate on neighborhood stability and public services.

"During these times of vastly limited government resources, our citizens need help more than ever before.
Which means we must focus more on improving the quality of life for all Trotwood residents, especially in their neighborhoods”, said Mayor Cameron. “We want to hear what’s on our residents’ minds while we listen for ways to make our government more responsive to them."

Continues the Mayor, “I sincerely hope you’ll participate when our ‘Walk and Talk’ comes to your neighborhood. I believe that together, through initiatives like this we can truly make a difference. Because there is so much more we can achieve together.”

For more informationabout the ‘Neighborhood Walk and Talk’ please contact Adminsitrative Assistant/ Deputy Clerk of Council Sandy Riege at (937) 854-7213 or sriege@trotwood.org.
