VEHICLE MECHANIC II/CREW LEADER
The Vehicle Mechanic ll/Crew Leader repairs and maintains a variety of City autos, trucks, and other equipment, including diesel and gasoline engines. This position is a working Supervisor reporting to the Public Works Superintendent. The Vehicle Mechanic ll/Crew Leader works independently with minimal direction, sets his/her own schedule and that of subordinates, makes job assignments, and will provide direction on or perform more difficult repairs. The ability to make minor body repairs and perform welding operations is an advantage.
Hourly Rate (Depending On Qualifications): $20.74 – 27.32 per hour
Requirements:
• 5 years experience as a Mechanic
• ASE Certified
• Basic computer skills
• Ohio Driver’s License
• Ability to get CDL in 6 monthsThe Civil Service Exam for this position will be Saturday, April 24, 2010. A passing score is 70. The Exam application deadline is 12:00 noon on Wednesday, April 21, 2010.
