04.12.11- Salem Avenue Construction Begins
Construction has begun on the Salem Avenue Corridor between Turner Road and Covenant House Drive (just south of Shiloh Springs Road). Lane closures will be occurring there throughout the project, which should be completed by September 2011.The project involves removing and replacing the asphalt pavement, as well as installing new curbs, gutters and sidewalks. Brumbaugh Construction was contracted to perform the work.
This latest section represents one of the final phases of the City’s comprehensive Salem Avenue Corridor upgrade, which has been 80% funded by grants.
