08.29.11- Help Save The Trotwood Post Office

The U.S. Postal Service just issued a list of 3,600 branches being studied for potential closing, and Trotwood’s is on it.  Since then a private, grass roots citizens group called ‘Save The Trotwood Post Office’ has been formed and is being led by former Trotwood City Councilman Bruce Kettelle.

The City has aligned its efforts with this group to ensure broad based participation from citizens, businesses and government in this unified effort.  Already 50 members strong, this group is circulating petitions requesting Trotwood be removed from the list, which can be signed at community events and in local businesses.

Once enough signatures are collected they will be sent on to the City’s congressional delegation and other leaders to enlist their support.

To join visit the group’s Facebook Page (http://www.facebook.com/groups/256649984345672/?ap=1) or call (937) 837-6401 837-6401.
