Roadwork Paving The Way For Progress
Residents will soon be seeing all kinds of roadway construction paving the way for progress. To accommodate the increased traffic sure to come with the opening of James Group Logistics at Commerce Park, Olive Road will be soon be widened and improved from the Dayton corporation limit to Wolf Creek Pike. The project also includes corrections of both the turning radius at Little Richmond Road and a curve radius on Wolf Creek Pike. Approximately 75% of this project is being funded by grants.
Meanwhile, more of the beautiful roadwork along the Salem Avenue Corridor will soon be underway with Phase II, from Olive Road to the Trotwood Connector, due to be completed this year. This project is literally transforming Salem Avenue into an urban roadway complete with attractive streetscapes, sidewalks, curbs, gutters, and a better drainage system. All work to date has been funded primarily by grants. The City is also reconstructing and interconnecting five traffic signals along the Corridor from Denlinger Road to Curundu Avenue will also be underway soon. The resulting closed-loop signal system will allow for optimum performance and improved signal timing.
