BREAKING News
10.06.09- No City Leaf Pickup This Fall
As another example of its extreme budget challenges, the City will be unable to pick up leaves this year. But thanks to Rumpke and Montgomery County residents do have other options.
Rumpke will collect bagged leaves contained in large garbage bags, but only if they do not contain sticks or trash. Rumpke will also pick up small limbs and sticks, but only if they are cut into 4-foot lengths and wrapped in maximum 2-foot diameter bundles.
Leaves may also be hauled and dumped at the City’s dumpsite. Located on Olive Road, just south of the Wolf Creek Pike intersection, the City’s dumpsite is on the right directly behind A & B Auto Parts (also the bike path), approximately 500 to 600 feet from the path entrance.
For more information on leaf composting please call the Montgomery County Recycling Resource Center at (937) 225-4860. For more information please contact Public Works Director Thomas Odenigbo at (937) 837-1702 or todenigbo@trotwood.org.
