MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Salary Range
$12.13 - $20.51 per hour depending on qualifications

Civil Service Exam will be on Saturday, June 5, 2010.
Scope of Selection Process
• Achieving a Passing Score of 70% on the Civil Service Written Exam
• Oral Interview
• Driving Record Check
• Employment Background Check
• DOT Physical & Drug Screening
Minimum Qualifications
Two (2) years or more experience in Public Sector (Service Dept., Public Works, etc.) or Private Sector (Construction, Equipment Operator, etc.).
• High School Graduate or G.E.D.
• Must possess the physical ability to perform the tasks associated with the position.
• Must be able to work outside in extreme weather conditions.
• Must have a valid State Of Ohio Driver’s License.
• Must obtain Class B CDL within 6 months of hire date, if don’t already have it.
• Ability to drive and operate City equipment and trucks.
Nature of Work
Operates heavy equipment, drives and performs general duty street/utility maintenance work consisting of maintenance and repair of public streets, parks, equipment, and facilities in accordance with prescribed City policies and regulations; performs related tasks as required by a supervisor.
Essential Functions
Repairs streets, curbs, catch basins, and alleys, operates a leaf machine and other heave equipment, performs concrete and asphalt work, installs drain tile, paints traffic lines, mows grass, remove and treat weeds, cleans sewers, repairs broken sewer and water lines, remove snow and ice, performs general maintenance and repairs city property and equipment and other related duties as assigned.
