12.13.11- City Installs New Main Street Trotwood Signage
Thanks to a 2011 $50,000 CDBG/HUD Grant the City received through the Montgomery County Department of Community Development, three new Main Street Corridor Façade Program signs are helping promote 12 of Trotwood’s businesses and service providers.
One of the signs is now helping advertise the Trotwood YMCA, New York Pizza, New Beginnings Salon & Spa and the State of Ohio License Bureau. Another identifies Headliners Barber Shop, Nicole’s Salon and the U.S. Post Office branch. And the third is helping promote Trotwood Foodtown, Family Dollar, Grismer, Hattie J.’s and H&R Block.
The City produced and installed this new signage to provide a more consistent way of identifying the Main Street neighborhood business district, while at the same eliminating visual clutter along the corridor. The City is especially thankful to the Montgomery County Department of Community Development for providing the funding that allowed this project to happen.
