01.12.12- Mayor Keynote Speaker at 01/15 MLK Event

On Sunday, January 15th, at 6:00 p.m. The Trotwood Ministerium will host its 2nd Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration – “Keeping The Dream Alive” – at St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church, 5301 Free Pike. Trotwood Mayor Joyce S. Cameron will be the event’s Keynote Speaker. The Wilberforce University Choir will provide music, and following the program refreshments will be served at a Reception sponsored by Vitas Innovative Hospice Care. The public is invited. 

This MLK Celebration will honor the following 2012 Honorees who have labored to keep Dr. King’s dream alive in Trotwood:
Spiritual: Pastor Matthew and Mary Scott

Business: Devers & Sons and Lowe’s
Education: Trotwood-Madison School District SuperintendentRexann Wagner and Assistant Superintendent Kevin Bell
Community: Maryann Bremke and Sister Helen Weber of the Brunner Center

Civic: Trotwood Police Captain John Porter, Retired Trotwood Fire Chief Rick Wagner, and Marika and Karl Palmer of Handivan
