01.19.12- Montgomery County Launches MCOFuture.com

Starting February 16th, help us change Montgomery County’s future. Interested in the future of your community, services, taxes and growing jobs in the local economy? Come to the countywide open forums. There's a lot at stake. Everyone’s views and voice are vital.

The 1st Forum – Issues, Opportunities and Challenges – is on February 16, 5-6:45 p.m., at Sinclair Community College (park for free under Building 12 off W. 4th St. Go to the Great Hall on the first floor).

Can we have better jobs and do better economically? Organize and pay for services and government differently? What do local citizens think? Hear from leaders, learn about the issues and make your voice heard.

Montgomery County has a great history. A lot of good things are happening here, but we have real challenges. The key question is what to do to succeed in the future.

How should we organize county and local government? Can we grow good jobs and keep good companies and leaders here? Keep quality services with more affordable taxes? Find leaders for the future? What's worked and what hasn't?

The right change will be homegrown and well informed, but nobody is sure what that is. 2012 is the time for a community conversation with the potential for intelligent, intentional action. As our economy turns around we need to be positioned to build on its strengths.

Please RSVP to MCOFuture@gmail.com or call (937) 496-7007. Like us on Facebook (facebook.com/MCOFuture) and Follow us on Twitter (twitter.com/MCOFuture). If you can't attend, MCOfuture.com will ‘go live’ before the first forum and you can follow us there.
