02.07.11- Sign Up Now For Leadership Trotwood

Leadership Trotwood, the City of Trotwood’s free professional development accepting applications now through February 15th for the next Trotwood Leadership session, which will run for eleven weeks in once weekly evening sessions from the weeks of March 14th through May 23rd.

Leadership Trotwood participants will be taught by some of Trotwood and the Dayton region’s top leaders, including elected officials and business executives. They will learn how to develop lifelong leadership skills and take an active role in their community.

Anyone who lives or works in Trotwood is eligible to apply. To submit an Application please download the Leadership Trotwood Application, complete its forms and return it to Tyree Fields, Leadership Trotwood Program Administrator, 3035 Olive Road, Trotwood, Ohio 45426.

Following Application submittal prospective participants will be asked to participate in a panel interview with the Leadership Trotwood executive committee. If chosen they will need to attend eleven weekly sessions, actively participate in class activities other than community sessions and attend their graduation ceremony upon completing the curriculum.


One of the program’s strict policies requires participants to actively attend regularly calendared classroom sessions. The weekly classroom sessions will cover some of the following topics:

Justice

Government (local, state, and national)

Education

Professional development and social networking

Community and non-profit organizations

Local history and traditions

Leadership

Leadership Trotwood graduates will receive:

A completion certificate and pin

Special recognition in local newspapers and media for being selected into the program and then again as a graduating participant

Exclusive membership into the Leadership Trotwood alumni

An opportunity to serve on numerous boards and community committees

An opportunity to be officially recognized as a leader in Trotwood and the Dayton region
