Worried about your bottom line? Add a little “green” to it at the 1st annual Business Expo & Showcase of Technology! This one-day event features the seminars, exhibits, products and technologies to help you make, and save, money in a green economy. The Business Expo & Showcase of Technology, occupying three exhibit halls at the Hara Complex, can guide you through new products, energy audits, grants, rebates and incentives – everything you need to operate your business or household with more cost and energy efficiency.B.E.S.T. kicks off with a luncheon at 11:30 am. Mr. Jim Leftwich, the newly appointed director of the Ohio Department of Development and former president and CEO of the Dayton Development Coalition, will be the keynote speaker.
The event focuses on business owners from 11 am to 7 pm, homeowners from 5 to 7 pm. Presented by the Trotwood Chamber of Commerce, the City of Trotwood and EMTEC. Sponsored by Dayton Power & Light, Cox Media Group Ohio, Vectren, and Dayton RTA, the Business Expo and Showcase of Technology is designed to add more “green” to your home, office and bottom line!
The business portion of the event, from 11 am to 7 pm, includes a keynote address, luncheon buffet, seminars covering topics such as “Making Money in the Green Economy” and “Energy Savings Opportunities for Business and Industry” as well as exhibits of the green industry’s best and brightest. Full Registration is $49 (includes a luncheon buffet, keynote speaker, workshops and exhibits), and must be made in advance. Admission to attend workshops and exhibits only is $29 and may be paid at the door.
From 5 pm to 7 pm, the event is also open to the general public and includes the trade show and seminars such as “Preparation for Green Careers” and “Home Energy Savings & Sustainability.” Admission is $5 at the door, free for students with a valid ID. Exhibit space and sponsorship opportunities are still available. Booth space is $250. There is a $100 discount off the cost of booth space for businesses and organizations with a current Trotwood Chamber membership.
