INCOME TAX ADMINISTRATOR

Salary: Annual Range $47,260 to $58,950
Nature Of Work
The Income Tax Administrator reports to the Finance Director and is responsible for supervising the day-to-day operations of the Municipal Income Tax Division. Responsibilities include overseeing the receipt of income tax payments and establishing work priorities and schedules. Reviews and supervise the work of subordinate personnel.

Minimum Qualifications
• BA degree in accounting, business admin or related field
•
Three (3) years of experience in an Ohio municipal income tax collection division
OR
• Seven (7) years direct experience, including two (2) of which in a supervisory capacity
Essential Functions
• Updates tax policies and procedures as required
• Develops division’s annual budget and tax revenue projections
• Audit business and individual tax returns and approves claims for refunds
• Communicates frequently with taxpayers in person, by telephone and by correspondence to explain and achieve compliance with the municipal income tax requirements
• Makes recommendations on appeals to the Tax Appeals Review Board
• Implements an aggressive delinquency collection program
