06.12.11- Take Bridges Bikes & Blues Tour

Take part in the Preble County Covered Bridge Tour, ‘Bridges Bikes & Blues’ on Saturday, June 18th. This 63-mile tour includes seven historic covered bridges and ends in downtown Eaton for a fun-filled afternoon and evening of great blues music and food. The ride begins at the Preble County Historical Center, 7693 Swartsel Road, Eaton, OH 45320 (off S.R. 122, 6 miles southeast of Eaton, 1 mile northwest of Gratis). Event day registrations begin at 10:30 a.m. 

Blessing of the Bikes will be at 12:30 p.m., immediately followed by the rollout. The Bridges Bike & Blues Tour is open for all types of vehicles. Registration for drivers/bikes is only $20, which features free T-shirts and Goody Bags for the first 100 registrants.

Each paid participant collects a raffle ticket at each of the seven (7) covered bridges for chances on great raffle prizes, including: a flat screen TV; gas grill & accessories; and gift baskets from local vendors.

The music begins at 4:00 p.m. with 2009 Miami Valley Idol Contest Winner BJ Stall, followed by Alex Poteet, Freeway, Greg Clark, and ending the night with The Scotty Bratcher Band.

The Bike Show & Contest Award Plaques will be presented at 7:00 p.m., and it only costs $5 to enter (Register by 3:30 that day). Award categories include Stock, Custom, Radical Custom, Bagger Touring, Sport/Competition, Vintage, People’s Choice, and the Preble County Commissioners Award.

The music begins at 4:00 p.m. with 2009 Miami Valley Idol Contest Winner BJ Stall, followed by Alex Poteet, Freeway, Greg Clark, and ending the night with The Scotty Bratcher Band.
