The Historical Glimpses of Trotwood, Ohio was a resounding success. All books for printing number one are gone! We have now received the 2nd printing. The price remains the same – $39.95 for each book; $2.80 sales tax for each book; and $6.50 shipping and handling for each book if the book has to be shipped. We only have approximately 150 books remaining of the 2nd printing.If you are from Trotwood or have relatives who lived in the area, the book is a must have for your personal library. The book begins with a discussion of the earliest inhabitants of Trotwood, the prehistoric and historic Indians and continues with a discussion of the early settlers. There are sections that cover government, road and transportation, schools, churches, businesses and other organizations.
There are numerous patron pages included in the book that gives a brief history of families, businesses, and other organizations in the local area. The information contained in the patron pages is very interesting to read. You may find out information about your ancestors that you did not know.
There are numerous historical pictures contained throughout the book that give you a glimpse of the lives of the inhabitants of Trotwood. If you are interested in local history, the pictures contained in the book are well worth the cost of the book.
