Mary A. McDonald is the Mayor of the City of Trotwood, Ohio. She has served on the Trotwood City Council since 2005 and became Mayor in 2016.
 
Mary A. McDonald is a State of Ohio licensed cosmetology educator and stylist. She is also the owner of the highly successful True Styles salon, a premier establishment serving the Dayton and Trotwood area for over 38 years.  She has also worked as a cosmetician for Fashion Fair Cosmetics, Revlon, Flori Roberts, and many other beauty related companies.
 
Mayor McDonald is passionate about Trotwood and has ignited the City of Trotwood with new energy and a “can-do” spirit. Her desire is to rebuild, restore, and revitalize her community by building relationships that support the community’s quest toward success. 

Her leadership has inspired her team and that inspiration is bringing about the desired results needed to catapult the Trotwood community into a regional leader in home ownership and financial stability for years to come. In her first year as Mayor, economic development within the City of Trotwood has experienced a dynamic resurgence in the repurposing of two “big box” stores and the relocation of a major corporation to the area, as well as several other businesses. Mayor McDonald also has been instrumental in spearheading the renovation of the former Trotwood Community Center which will now be the home of the Trotwood Community and Cultural Arts Center. Through her efforts, the City of Trotwood has experienced several partnerships that will provide positive benefits to its residents. She has also been a determining factor in the improvements being made to John Wolfe Park, which will be completed in summer of 2017.
